Behavioural Objectives: At the end of the lesson the pupils should be able to:

2. Identify and describe the tools and their uses ANIMAL FARM TOOLS
   Farmers need simple tools in the handling of farm animal like sheep, goat, cattle and chickens.
   Some tools are also needed in the production and catching (harvesting) of fishes in the rivers, streams and fish ponds.

DESCRIPTION AND USES OF ANIMAL FARM TOOLS.

1. LANTERN: Body made up of metal with a bulb to cover the light.
   Uses
2. Lanterns when lit are placed In Poultry houses containing young chicks.
   The chicks always surround the lantern to keep themselves warm.
3. TROUGH: The trough can be made of wood or metal.
   Uses.
   Livestock feeds are always put inside the trough from which live stock eat.
4. Fishing Net: the fishing Net is made of woven nylon.
   Uses
   The fishing Net is thrown into water and used in trapping fishes.
5. Fishing Spear: This is made of sharply pointed metal prongs.
   Uses:
   They are used in catching fish.
