AUXILIARY PROJECTION (CONT’D)
B. DRAWING AUXILIARY ELEVATION OF AN INCLINED CUBE, GIVEN THE FRONT ELEVATION INCLINING AT 30° TO THE HORIZONTAL
Procedure
( Given sides to be 30)
- Draw the given views and locate the ground line.
- Project lines perpendicular to the ground line x1y1 from all the points on the plan.
- Transfer the dimensions abcd to the auxiliary plane line.
- Locate the points LMNO
- Join the points to get the auxiliary elevation.
C. DRAWING AUXILIARY PLAN OF AN HEXAGONAL PYRAMID
Procedure
- Draw the front elevation and the plan.
- Draw horizontal lines from each corner on front elevation to touch a side vertical line and mark it 0,1 and 2.
- From each corner on front elevation , project lines in the direction of the arrow.
- At a convenient point, draw line 00 perpendicular to the projected lines.
- Transfer points 1 and 2 and from them draw parallel lines to 00.
- Trace and join points of intersection of corresponding lines from points 0,1 and 2 to give the required auxiliary plan.
