AUXILIARY PROJECTIONS (CONT’D)

AUXILIARY PROJECTION (CONT’D)

B. DRAWING AUXILIARY ELEVATION OF AN INCLINED CUBE, GIVEN THE FRONT ELEVATION INCLINING AT 30° TO THE HORIZONTAL

Procedure
( Given sides to be 30)

  1. Draw the given views and locate the ground line.
  2. Project lines perpendicular to the ground line x1y1 from all the points on the plan.
  3. Transfer the dimensions abcd to the auxiliary plane line.
  4. Locate the points LMNO
  5. Join the points to get the auxiliary elevation.

C. DRAWING AUXILIARY PLAN OF AN HEXAGONAL PYRAMID

Procedure

  1. Draw the front elevation and the plan.
  2. Draw horizontal lines from each corner on front elevation to touch a side vertical line and mark it 0,1 and 2.
  3. From each corner on front elevation , project lines in the direction of the arrow.
  4. At a convenient point, draw line 00 perpendicular to the projected lines.
  5. Transfer points 1 and 2 and from them draw parallel lines to 00.
  6. Trace and join points of intersection of corresponding lines from points 0,1 and 2 to give the required auxiliary plan.
