Topic Binary Number System
The binary number system has two digits namely: 0 and 1.
All binary numbers are made up of two digits and their values increases from right to left.
They can be expressed as a sum of multiplies of power of two.
For example
a)1001 two = 1 × + 0 × + 0 × + 1 ×
= 1 × 8 + 0 × 4 + 0 × 2 + 1 × 1
= 8 + 0 + 0 + 1 = 9
b)1110 two = 1 × + 1 × + 1 × + 0 ×
= 1 × 8 + 1 × 4 + 1 × 2 + 0 × 1
= 8 + 4 + 2 + 0 = 14
