Find the H.C.F of 6 & 8.
Solution
Factors of 6 are: (1), (2), 3, 6.
Factors of 8 are: (1), (2), 4, 8.
Common factor of 6 & 8 are 1 & 2.
Highest Common factor of 6 & 8 is 2. Example 2.
Find the H.C.F of 4, 20 and 60.
Solution.
Factors of 4 are: (1), (2), (4).
Factors of 20 are: (1), (2), (4), 5, 10, 20.
Factors of 60 are: (1), (2), 3, (4), 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30, 60.
.’.Highest Common Factor are 4, 20, 60, is 4.
